Weitere Angaben:	Werbetext: The Daddy of all wines, this is one of South Africa's finest examples of this grape variety. Winemaker Francois van Zyl is good mates with Beyers Truter(the king of Pinotage)and has styled this version to capture big bold plum flavours and complex fruit whilst still retaining a smooth creamy texture. Aged in oak the wine is deep purple in colour, exhibiting lovely juicy flavours. Warm and pleasing on the palate, this gold medal winner is Pinotage at its very best. One of the Cape`s more recent wine estates having been purchased by the Laibach-Kuehner family in the early 1990s. An initial investment saw the 40 hectare property totally replanted and this was followed by the building of a state of the art and contemporary winery. Stuffed full of modern winemaking kit but using traditional barrel ageing, this is a wine estate with a growing reputation right on top of its game. Managed by the very likeable Mike Malherbe, a totally fanatical grape grower and in tandem with the exceptionally talented winemaker, Francois van Zyl they endeavour to craft modern drinkable and delicious wines for a sophisticated and discerning market.

VKN im Detail:	Sehr deutliches Holzmanagment in kleinen neuen Fässern welches hier mein nicht geliebtes Mandelaroma hinzufügt. Mit der Traube Pinotage habe ich keine Erfahrung. Pinotage ist eine rote Rebsorte, die durch Kreuzung von Cinsault und Spätburgunder (Pinot Noir) entstanden ist. Hier ist der warme Cinsaultbezug merkbar, Pinot ist wohl zuplakatiert. Gute Fülle. Schmeckt im griechischen Wasserglas serviert passender (kantiger) als aus dem Bordeauxkelch. Qualität ist durchaus gut aber geschmacklich nicht so zu mir passend. 86. Am 2ten Tag besser.
